About CHC Texas
Community Health Charities Texas (CHC Texas) is a
federation, or umbrella organization, of America's premier health charities
that have joined together to raise charitable contributions in the workplace. As an employer / employee friendly team, CHC Texas provides wellness services, promotes volunteerism and coordinates employee charitable giving programs.
Mission, Vision, and Purpose
Mission Statement: To unite caring donors in the workplace with our nation's most trusted health charities.
The vision of CHC Texas is to position CHC Texas as a highly visible, dynamic and cost-effective statewide health and wellness organization in partnership with all businesses and member health charities.
The purpose of CHC Texas is to:
Increase community awareness of member health charities.
Promote the wellness of employees through their workplaces.
Improve the health of Texas residents.
Facilitate successful charitable giving campaigns.
Community Health Charities of America is one of the most cost-effective non-profit organizations in the country, with Administrative and Fund Raising (AFR) expenses at just 2.2%. CHC Texas promotes over 60 health charities in the workplace. Through employee donations, member charities provide vital patient services, health education and life-saving medical research. Employees designate the charity or charities they want to receive their donations, and we honor their wishes. Pure and Simple!
The generous organizations that choose to include CHC Texas and our members in their employee giving campaigns are “Partners in Health.” These Partners pledged almost $5 million to their favorite health charities for 2011.
Health Matters at Work
Health Matters at Work is an innovative, health and wellness program provided to Partners in Health that incorporates information and programs from fifty six prestigious health charities into one overall health care solutions package for the workplace.
Volunteers
CHC Texas is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, governed by a statewide Board of Directors. In major communities such as Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, volunteers compose Regional Leadership Boards. At all levels, volunteers provide guidance and support to CHC Texas and are instrumental in increasing revenue for our member health charities.
